80% -
85% of ALL Legal
Judgments
In The USA are Never
Recovered
These Are The Main Reasons:
- Judgment
owners, also called creditors, rarely know how to collect their
own Judgments. Enforcing
(recovering) lawful court Judgments is not
easy. This
work requires training, study, patience, and an aggressive nature. Without
recovery (collection, settlement) legal money Judgments expire. They
become worthless when the statute of limitations runs out. The
expiration dates vary from state to state. Uncollected
Judgments can be renewed by application for renewal sent to the
original court that originally awarded the Judgment.
- It
is only the legal owner of
a Judgment award that is legally
authorized to take the actions needed to attempt
collection of the money owed by
the defendants (now debtors) in the lawsuit. The
law prevents non-owners of Court
Ordered Legal Judgments from attempting to recover
legal judgments
that they do not own. If
you are thinking about hiring a Professional Judgment Recovery
Specialist to recover you will be obliged
to provide
them with legal, but temporary title (ownership) of the Judgment. Any
Judgment Recovery Company you work with will require that you
agree to and sign and notarize "Assignment of Judgment Form".

- Professional
judgment recovery specialists are almost always paid with an
agreed percentage of the money recovered from
the debtors (the people who owe you money). Debtors
are rarely ever willing to pay what they owe you. It
requires aggressive, skilled, and experienced professionals
to find them, find their assets, legally seize some or all
of their assets and put them in your
hands where
they legally belong.
- Ownership of a legal judgment can be "Assigned" (transferred)
to another person by means of outright sale or for purposes of
recovery of the judgment. Assignment is the method used by
Judgment Recovery professionals so that, as legal owners of the
judgment, they may seek to recover the judgment on behalf of the
original owner.
Remember, It is ONLY the owner of the
legal judgment that has the
legal authority to enforce the judgment. This is a powerful
and protective measure that is provided by US Law.
Which
Decision Are You Prepared To Make?
Study the business of Judgment Recovery
and then try
recovering
your
judgment
by
yourself. This may require more than a year of study before you are ready
to test your skills. This decision could also provide you with a full or
part time occupation.
Do
it yourself with the guidance of a Judgment Recovery
attorney. There not many such Attorneys around that teach Judgment Recovery.
Additionally, this
can be
very
costly.
Engage
the services of a Judgment Recovery Company. There are
many listed on the Internet. Some companies work only
in a specific state and others work Nationwide. We (RecoverLegalJudgment.com)
work Nationwide.
Worried
About Judgment Recovery Fees?
Concerned
that your Judgment Recovery Fee (percentage) will be "too
much." Fees
are usually a bit negotiable--don't worry. Typically
the larger the Judgment the smaller will be the recovery fee
and
the smaller
the judgment the larger the recovery fee percentage. These
percentages are decided by you and the Judgment Recovery agent
that you accept as the one who you will be working with. Fee
of 35% to 45% of the amount collected are quite typical.
Please
remember: Only the owner of
the Judgment (you) is legally authorized to take
the actions needed to attempt recovery of some or all of
the money owed to them by their debtor(s). This
means that you, the owner of the judgment, MUST sign
and notarize an "Assignment of Judgment" form and
send it to your Judgment Recovery Specialist.
This form
does all of the following:
- The
form specifies the exact percentage of the recovered
money that
is to be the fee of the Judgment Recovery Specialist. It
also specifies that ownership of
the Judgment is legally transferred to the
Judgment Recovery Specialist. Ideally, it should
also specify an agreed time period, in years, as
the maximum that the
Judgment
Recovery Specialist
is allowed to recover some or all of the money.
We
recommend that 2 years be the limit, initially. Additional
recovery time can be added
later if appropriate.
- If
no money is successfully recovered from the Debtor(s)
the "Assignment
of Judgment" should
specify that Legal Ownership of the Judgment will be
returned and restored to the Original Owner.
This is a "reversed assignment of judgment.
