Uncollected Judgements, Unsatisfied, Unpaid Judgments

Did you know that about 85% of ALL legal judgments are never enforced or collected?  Winning a lawsuit and a legal judgment is only the beginning.  Just because you paid your lawyers a fortune does NOT mean that you will collect ANY of the money that you have been awarded.  Sad but true. 

Whoa!  Wait a minute here, slow down.  What about the 15% of money judgements that are collected?  Ok, remember that you are the one that asked.

Can you believe me when I tell you that it is only a very small percentage of people who have the knowledge, experience, and training to enforce legal judgements?  If collecting money judgments were easy many people would do it for themselves and the numbers of collected judgments would be very different.  If judgment recovery were easy there might be as many as 85% of all judgements that were collected and only 15% uncollected.  Am I making sense here? 

Beware of a few pitfalls before you begin selecting one of the many judgment collection services or schools or training programs.  Let me explain more about this:

Some of the folks presenting themselves as judgment collectors don't have a clue about what they are supposed to be doing or exactly how to do it.  If they don't take your money up front they will surely waste your time.  Court Judgments have a life span; they will expire sooner or later and MUST be effectively enforced BEFORE expiration of the judgment. 

You've heard (I hope) that it is easy to buy a phony college degree, including a Ph.D. on the internet for just a couple of hundred dollars.  Similar scams exist in ALL professions, including that of legal judgment recovery.

You can surely find competing judgement recovery companies that will promise to recover your judgment for much smaller fees.  That's nice, isn't it?  Do you really believe that something as difficult and complicated as collecting legal judgments will get the same results for substantially less expense?   Not likely, not at all.  Can you buy a new Mercedes for the price of a Ford?  Both cars have tires, wheels, engines and radios.  What is the difference?  Value is the difference.  Professionalism is the difference.  Oats are cheaper after they have passed through the horse.
